Sit Still in God’s Presence…

“I wait quietly before God, for my victory comes from Him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will never be shaken. Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in Him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will not be shaken. My victory and honor come from God alone. He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me.O my people, trust in Him at all times. Pour out your heart to him, for God is our refuge.”
(Psalm 62:1-2,5-8)

In this hectic “information age” in which we live, being still in God’s presence to “wait quietly” is extremely challenging. Yet, it is vital in our personal walk with the Lord.

If you are in the midst of a struggle, a battle, or a storm, I encourage you to do like Mary and “sit at the feet of Jesus” quietly. Turn off all interrupting devices and tune in to the voice of the Holy Spirit. Make it a daily discipline. Guard that time daily. It is as vital to our spirit as food is to our body.

You’ll never regret it.
