Speaking Ministry

In August 2003, Robert experienced a tragedy of Biblical proportions when his precious wife and all four children died in a flash flood in Kansas late one Saturday night. After 8 years as a father, nearly 12 years as a husband, and 13 years as an electrical engineer, Robert’s life completely changed on their way home from a wedding in Wichita when a six-foot wall of water inundated their van, sweeping them off the highway in the darkness and into the deluge.

Music Ministry

Robert is an accomplished worship leader, pianist, singer, and published songwriter with Integrity Music (“How Can I Glorify?”). He has released several full-length CDs of original compositions including “Resurrection” (vocal), “Instrument of Hope” & “Instrument of Peace” (both piano instrumentals). He continues to compose and record songs of hope, praise, and restoration for upcoming music releases.

Orphan Care

I have a passion for orphans and special-needs children. I experienced the miracle of adoption in January 2003 when we adopted Alenah WenYing – a special-needs orphan from China – into our family. Our son, Zachary, also had special-needs from Down syndrome at birth.

After my visit to the tsunami stricken regions of India in 2004, I began the Mighty in the Land FOUNDATION (a Donor-Advised Fund through NCF) – dedicated to advance adoption and care for orphans and special-needs children worldwide . Since then, I’ve ministered to orphans in Haiti and Russia as well.

Robert Rogers, Liberty, MO., lost his wife Melissa Dawn Rogers, and their four young children in a flood on the Kansas Turnpike in August 30, 2003. Since then, Rogers quit his job as an engineer to establish his own ministry.
